If you are looking for a piece of home exercise equipment that is going to get you as fit as possible in the shortest space of time then you will definitely want to have a look at the indoor rowing machine. Some people call it a torture device, and it undoubtedly is a difficult thing to use to its maximum potential because of the severity of the workout involved.

With that said, if you are capable of putting in the effort and use on of these on a regualr basis, there is perhaps no better way to get your cardiovascular system fit. They also work just about every muscle in your body. Yhis of course if the reason that they make your heart ad lungs work so hard during your fitness routine.

The Concept 2 is the rowing machine of choice for the professionals, but you might find it a little expensive for home use. Why not consider something like an Air rowing machine that you can pick up for a few hundred dollars from Amazon. They won't be build to the same standard as a Concept 2, but for all the use you are going to throw at it from the comfort of your home you will find that it will do the job perfectly.

Start Exercising Now!

If you're still procrastinating instead of getting yourself started on a fitness routine then its really time you bucked up your ideas. Summer is here and none of us are getting any younger so there's never going to be a better time to get outside in the fresh air and get some good quality exercise.

You don't even need to spend any money to get started as you've probably got all the sports clothing you need tucked away at the back of a cupboard somewhere. Do a little hunting and surely you'll be able to turn up with a pair of decent trainers, tracksuit bottoms and a few t-shirts.

Get up early tomorrow and get yourself out for a run before work and if you're too unfit to run then go for a long walk. At least walk for as long as you comfortably can, I don't want you to die of exhaustion. Get into the routine of doing this 5 days a week and by the end of summer you'll be fitter and healthier than you have been for years.

What Type Of Exercise Equipment Should I Purchase?

When you have decided that you are going to commit to taking regular exercise the first thing that many people want to do is quickly rush out and buy the most expensive piece of exercise equipment they can find.

My advice is to resist this temptation is at all possible. It is easy to get started with productive exercise without any great financial outlays and in fact I think its better if you spend as little as possible to begin with.

Pick up a pair of quality running shoes from your local store or the Internet and you're ready to go. You should even be able to find top quality running shoes for a bargain price if you are willing to shop around.

The best way to start your exercise regime is to simply get outside and walk for half an hour to an hour in the fresh air. Make exercise enjoyable and you are more likely to stick to it in the long term.

When you find yourself looking for more of a challenge then you can seriously think about getting some form of exercise equipment for your home. There is a wide range of products available with cheap treadmills, elliptical trainers, rowers and steppers all available online if you do a little research.

If you can, try out all types of cardiovascular training equipment before making a decision. Its a good idea to visit a well equipped gym to see which type of training equipment is especially suited to you.

5 Top Reason Why You Should Be Getting Daily Exercise

The list of reasons for getting started on an exercise regime is endless. Here's 5 of the top reasons why you need to get started on your program today.

1. You will live longer. Countless scientific studies conclude that people who get regular exercise live longer and live better.

2. Your brain will work better. According to new research exercise stimulates the formation of new brain cells in the area of the brain associated with memory and learning.

3. A better sex life. Not jsut because you will feel and look better but better circulation means men will find their equipment works better.

4. Improved moods. I've already talked about this in another post. For me this is the number one reason for starting an exercise regime. Life just feels better when you are getting regular exercise and feeling better encourages you to exercise more.

5. Weight control. People who exercise more are closer to their ideal weight. Carrying excess weight is linked to countless health problems which are easily remedied by taking 30 minutes of physical exercise each day.

Use Exercise To Lose Weight

Its well known amongst dieters that we should exercise to help us lose any excess weight we might be carrying. With this in mind you would think there would be an epidemic of over weight people out on the streets jogging for all their life is worth.

Unfortunately, because exercise is thought of as being hard work many people on weight loss regimes choose to focus all their energy on the diet rather than exercise component of their program.

The reason this isn't ideal is that we need boost exercise gives to our metabolism to kick start our weight loss. When we give all the attention to diet we find that we might lose weight briefly in the beginning but more often than not we quickly burn out and give up on the whole idea.

What we need is not a crash diet but a long term change in lifestyle which involves eating a wholesome balanced diet and participating in regular exercise.

An exercise program that helps you reach your fat loss goals doesn't have to bring you to the brink of death to be successful the most important thing is to get your body moving. Start off by taking a half hour walk each day in the fresh air and build up at a pace you feel comfortable with.

Regular Exercise Makes You Feel Good

Perhaps the most important benefit of exercise to those of us in good health is the fact that physical exertion has such a strong effect on our mental well being.

Its an often overlooked fact when discussing the benefits of exercise but it is the one thing that most of us recognize immediately when we take up regular exercise.

So why does exercise make you feel good?

When you exercise your body releases chemicals called endorphins which work in much the same way as man-made stimulants. This means that exercise has a drug like effect as you exercise and these endorphins enter your bloodstream.

Unlike other drugs which you might take endorphins are completely safe and won't make you feel worse the next day as their effects wear off.

Also, it is well known that exercise increases oxygen uptake in the blood by getting the heart beating faster and generally improving your circulation. This all leads to improvement of many little niggling health problems such as headaches and tiredness and leads to an increase in the feeling of wellbeing.

The Health Benefits Of Exercise

The health benefits of exercise are many and varied and although most people seem to be vaguely aware that they should be exercising to maintain their health very few seem to be doing all we should.

Its a simple case of taking 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week, it doesn't have to be the most strenuous exercise in the world, just enough to make you sweat a little, get your heart pumping faster and push toxins out your system.

What is the main benefit of exercise?

If you partake in regular exercise you will live longer and in better health. The answer often given by people when they are asked why they don't exercise is they they would rather enjoy themselves and die younger than have to commit to a torturous exercise regime which only allows them to live into old age and ill health.

The facts of course show that this is illogical thinking. Individuals who exercise regularly do of course live longer but the extra years are generally in excellent health in comparison to those who don't exercise at all.

Exercisers get increased years accompanied by better health in those years. Its is the people who don't exercise who tend to get burdened by the most unpleasant consequences of old age.
